I Got An iPod For Our Anniversary!

March 7th is my anniversary and my wife bought me an iPod. I never in a million years saw that coming. iPods are the kinds of gadgets other people use. And though I am a drummer and have been using one of those portable cd players for years, I just figured that was good enough. I never dreamed that I would ever graduate to an Ipod.

When I opened the gift bag that day and saw the iPod box, I went into a state of mental fog that still hasn't completely cleared. For days after, I kept shaking my head and repeating "Wow, an iPod!" over and over again. I'm in my mid-forties and just assumed that I was past the stage of acquiring techno gadgets for fun. Now, however, I must admit that my interest in such things has been sparked again.

After I loaded all my music on it and put it on for the first time, I realized what all the fuss was about. It's amazingly clear and crisp, unlike anything I'd ever listened to before! And it holds up to 20,000 songs! Can you believe that? I still can't. I doubt if I'll ever be able to put 20,000 songs on it! I can bearly get past the fact that I put all 302 of the ones I do have on it!

While I was learning how to download onto it, my wife told me that she'd gotten me a contract with iTunes-the download manager used for iPods. I didn't immediately understand what that meant until I clicked on it. I slowly began to get the idea of just exactly what kind of gift she'd given me. Wow, an iPod!

iTunes lets me do just about anything I want with my new little toy. It finally dawned on me that iPods are not just for music. I can download books, movies, TV shows, videos and music! I had no idea such things were possible. Now, though, I fancy myself a downloading fool!

I had to investigate further to see just what else this thing could do. So I jumped online and started checking out several sites that offered stuff to download. After about 15 or so sites, I came to understand that iTunes was by far the best deal for syncing my new iPod. iTunes offers the simplest, user-friendly, step-by-step guide for all my downloading desires. Their selection of entertainment is beyond compare. The widest variety of music, books, movies, etc . . .Everything you could possibly want!

I'll be continuing my research into this iPod and into iTunes. I can't wait to see what I learn next.

Until then . . . .Ciao!
